egf history – what’s past is prologue

egf Manufaktur was formed by a merger of the traditional companies Rudolf Sickinger and Eduard G. Fidel as well as the Bruno Mayer wedding ring collection. The company is managed by Stefan Schiffer.

Stefan Schiffer

"We have the privilege of sharing in the most important decision that two people in love can make – getting married. It makes us proud that our rings allow us to be part of this special event. For us, it is both a pleasure and an honour to manufacture rings that are not only extremely beautiful but also of the highest quality. At egf, this is our daily work, carried out with much sensibility, passion and love."

Stefan Schiffer, Managing Director

The cornerstone of industrial manufacturing – and thus of modern manufacturing – was laid by professional goldsmith Eduard G. Fidel (1919–2005), who introduced the injection moulding process for wedding rings developed in the USA to Germany. What was then a unique process – combined with the invention of the eternity ring, with which Eduard G. Fidel started a new design trend – laid the foundations for long-term economic success.

In addition to innovative processes and design, the company founder took a keen interest in modern process management and created a progressive company policy based on his employee-oriented perspective.
